January 2, 2019 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting

The Regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on January 2, 2019, 7:35 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Chief’s Report

The Chief will get the Commissioners the percentages for the month.

Tomorrow night is the tree lighting for the Colonia Business Association. They will be using the fire house generator and 12-2-1.

Firefighter Dwayne Bona asked for new boots. Commissioners approved the request.

Treasurer’s Report

See Attached.

A motion was made and seconded to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion passed.

Checklist for the budget is at the Colonia Fire House for review.

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins

Door at SQAD is being taken care of.

Service coming into SQAD is not large enough for the generator. Wailing to hear back from the Engineer. It could cost around $2,000.00 for the Engineer costs.

Randy Garrett is calling Spinnello regarding the broken urinal.

A meeting will have to be set up between the Commissioners and new officers. They will meet in January in a closed session meeting.

Waiting on quotes for two new vehicles.

Purchasing, Commissioner Hughes

Waiting on boots for Bona and wish list from the Fire Officer’s.
