February 7, 2018 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The Regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on February 7, 2018 at 8:00 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home news Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Fire Prevention
There will be an IAAI Assembly meeting on March 17 - March 19. All three inspectors plan on going.
Treasurer's Report, Commissioner Fugaro

A motion to accept treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Stellmach and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
Building and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Sr.
Chris the painter is going to do the 2nd floor and minor repairs that need to be done on the walls, molding and baseboard.
He needs to do the 1st floor molding and some sanding. Total cost to do everything is $1,380.00. A motion to do the painting and other minor work was made by Commissioner Fugaro and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.

The portable radio is getting fixed. The other radio has been ordered for 12-31.

Normal maintenance on cars -just starting to do it and will get through all of them.

Old Business
A motion was made by Commissioner Fugaro and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach to purchase the following which is all under State Contract. Motion passed by a unanimous votes.
3 saws at $2,235.00 a piece
2 Scott cameras at $8,024.85 a piece with a$1,000.00 trade in for 2 cameras
A motion was made by Commissioner Fugaro and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan to upgrade the SBA's to the new doe. It would cost $3,537.00 a unit for a total of 30 units.
Attorney talked to State about Schleck coming back and there is no problem. Motion made by Commissioner Fugaro and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach to have Schleck come back. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
Commissioner Stellmach updated the board that he is still status quo with the State giving their opinion on his position.
New Business
Heater is not working in the meeting room. Commissioner Stellmach will call to get it fixed.
Percentages for LOSAP - out of 43 members 25 did not make it and 18 did make it. Percentages need to be posted.
A motion was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 pm. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
