July 2, 2014 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Minutes

The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on July 2, 104 at 7:45pm. The meeting was called to order by Board president Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park
Press and at Town Hall.

EMS,L.Higgins
Joe Fish will be out on a medical leave for four (4) weeks. Pat Lombardi, a volunteer was fired today.
Elaine handed in June payroll. Elaine explained the SQUAD budget to the
Commissioners.

Treasurer's Report, Commissioner Souza
(See attached)
A motion to accept treasurer's report was made by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Sr.
Utility room is almost done. They are coming in tomorrow to fix the door.
Commissioner Higgins will talk to the guy coming in to fix the garage door to look at and fix other bay doors.

Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.

Central and Lincoln getting a new hydrants.

Insurance, Commissioner Hughes
Progress

Alarms and Radios, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.
Wunder will start work on radio room tomorrow. Most of the furniture for the radio room came in. The desk is on back order.

Trucks and Equipment, Commissioner Sheehan
12-21 is back in service. All units have been checks. Door panel is on 12-1.

Purchasing,Commissioner Hughes
The hose we lost on hose test was ordered.

Old Business
A new table and chairs were ordered for commissioner meetings.

New Business
Commissioners are getting cameras similar to what SQAD has for all bigger rigs. Will look into prices.
Floor
Explorer academy is this week.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Sheehan and seconded by
Commissioner Higgins, Sr. at 8:02. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
