February 1, 2017 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting

The regular meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on February 1, 2017 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home news Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Higgins, Jr, Bill Stellmach, and Joe Fugaro Eddie Sheehan - excused

Chief Mackey

The Company is bringing on one guy this month.

Chief is doing gear check. He would like to put a flag on the arm of the uniform.

Commissioner Hughes said if the guys want it they can go to the cleaners and have it

put on.

12-2-1 is having the vinyl cover put on.

New light bar was put on the rescue.

A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach to order a roof prop for $1,795.00.

Ex-Chiefs not explorers go in the front seat.

The gear room upstairs is going to be off limits. It keeps getting cleaned and then it gets messed up very quickly.

A decision was made to keep the best three sets of gear that is in the bay for the Explorers.

Need to get gas for the generator. It was decided to go to Home Depot and get gas cans.

June 3rd is the wet down. Ray is looking into getting the insurance waiver for it.

A motion was made by Commissioner Higgins and seconded by Commissioner Stellmach to accept Treasurer's report. Motion passed.

Downstairs is complete.

A motion was set to get another set of specs for the handicap bathroom.

Commissioner Higgins changed all the bulbs that were out with new LED lights. Wunder fixed a two way switch that was not working.

12-2 should be back tomorrow.

A motion was made by Commissioner Fugaro and seconded by Commissioner Higgins to re do all Hurst tools so they are compatible. Motion passed.
