February 1, 2017 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting

The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on February 1, 2017 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.

Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home news Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.

Commissioners present: Ray Hughes, Bill Higgins, Jr, Bill Stellmach, and Joe Fugaro Eddie Sheehan - excused

Buildings and Grounds, Commissioner Higgins, Jr.

The painting was completed downstairs and the hall coming up the stairs.

The new rug was installed.

There hasn't been any leaks in the roof since it was fixed.

Water and Hydrants, Commissioner Stellmach

We received a list of the water hydrants that are not draining properly from the Middlesex Water Company.

For the hydrant that was put in at Heritage, we need to make sure it has the right threads. Also we need to know the amount of gallons it holds. The water company should have that information.

Insurance, Commissioner Hughes

The new workers compensation is not in the state pool so there is a little bit of a savings.

Alarms and Radios, Commission Stellmach

Two new batteries were put into the Chiefs car. The chief will let the commissioners know if it is working.
