December 2, 2015 Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners Agenda Meeting
The agenda meeting of the Colonia Board of Fire Commissioners took place at the Colonia Firehouse on December 2, 2015 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Board president Ray Hughes followed by a moment of silence for departed members.
Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park Press and at Town Hall.
Commissioners present: Ed Sheehan, Ray Hughes, Bill Higgins Jr., Bill Higgins Sr.
Excused: Jim Souza

Commissioner Higgins was discussing with Commissioner Sheehan about looking into redoing the kitchen upstairs.
Looking to charge outside people who are not members a small fee to rent the hall. There is a lot of work up here that needs to be done and that fee can off set some of the costs.

All the cleaning was done on the vehicles. 12-3 everyone knows about the door. Waiting for a call back from Absolute with an update on that.
Christmas Parade is this Sunday.
12-35 has a window problem on the right side of the passenger side. Commissioner Sheehan will take a look at that and a rattle that they heard.

Commissioner Hughes left options on Commissioners desk to see if they had four men crews at different rates of pay. A sign was left downstairs to see who would be interested. This is something that they are just looking at. Need to see if there is enough interest and work out some particulars.
Commissioner Sheehan mentioned that Commissioner Higgins, Sr. had the parking lot complete.
They still have to come back and go underground to the street.
New Business
Commissioner Hughes and Commissioner Sheehan will be up for re-election in February so Billy, Jr. will be in charge of running the election.
Commissioner Hughes has the proposed 2016 budget. The budget itself is going to go up about $650,000.00. That is money dedicated to the engine. The amount to be raised is only going up $27,700.00.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Higgins, Jr. and seconded by Commissioner Sheehan. Motion passed by a unanimous vote.
